U.S.-Mexican Partnership for the Prevention, Diagnosis, and Control of Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases: Training, Research and Community Outreach” The partnership program between the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) is focused on strengthening Mexico’s capacity to prevent, diagnose and control tuberculosis. The U.S. and Mexican partners decided to address this goal through the fortification of institutional capacity, research, and other collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the ability of the partners to prevent, diagnosis and control TB and related infectious diseases in Mexico, an effort which is expected to have positive ramifications for the U.S. population.
